Monogam, operated by Monotech Bilişim Teknoloji Anonim Şirketi (Tax No: 6211334496), is a dating application intended solely for users aged 18 and over. The safety and well-being of our users — especially the protection of minors — is our highest priority. This page sets out our standards regarding child safety and our zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation.
1. Prohibition of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
Monogam strictly and explicitly prohibits all forms of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) on our platform. This includes but is not limited to:
- Any content that sexually exploits, depicts, or endangers minors
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in any form, including images, videos, text, or links
- Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to establish inappropriate relationships with minors
- Using our platform to facilitate, distribute, or promote CSAE in any way
- Any content, message, or behavior that sexualizes individuals under the age of 18
Violations of this policy will result in immediate and permanent account termination. We will report any identified CSAM or CSAE activity to the relevant law enforcement authorities and, where applicable, to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or equivalent national bodies.
2. Age Restriction and Verification
Monogam is exclusively designed for adults aged 18 and over. We enforce this restriction through the following measures:
- Users must provide their date of birth at registration; accounts with a date of birth indicating the user is under 18 cannot be created
- Phone number verification via SMS OTP is required at registration
- Any account found to belong to a user under 18 will be immediately suspended and all associated data permanently deleted
- Users may report accounts they suspect belong to minors using our in-app reporting mechanism
3. In-App Reporting Mechanism
Monogam provides users with an accessible, in-app mechanism to report content or behavior that violates our Child Safety Standards. Users can report:
- Profiles or accounts suspected of belonging to minors
- Any content that appears to involve or exploit minors
- Suspicious or inappropriate behavior directed at or involving minors
All reports are reviewed by our trust and safety team. Reports involving minors or CSAE are treated with the highest priority and escalated immediately.
4. Content Moderation
Monogam employs the following content moderation practices to protect minors:
- Profile photos and content are subject to review for compliance with our Child Safety Standards
- Reports and flagged content are reviewed manually by our trust and safety team to detect and remove CSAM and CSAE-related content
- Accounts involved in CSAE are permanently banned and reported to relevant authorities
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement requests related to child safety
5. Compliance with Applicable Laws
Monotech Bilişim Teknoloji Anonim Şirketi complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- Turkish law on the protection of minors, including relevant provisions of the Turkish Penal Code
- Applicable EU regulations and directives on child safety and online content
- Google Play and Apple App Store child safety policies
