Explicit Consent Form

This form has been prepared by Monotech Bilişim Teknoloji A.Ş. (the Data Controller) under Articles 5/1 and 6/2 of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), solely for data processing activities that rely on explicit consent. Each consent below is independent; declining one does not affect the validity of the others or your access to Monogam’s core service.

You must have read our PDPL Privacy Notice (KVKK) before registering. The privacy notice is available within the app or via [email protected].

Note: Answers given to profile prompts and to the chat question feature (“Get a Question”) are entirely optional. These answers are processed under the explicit consent described in the privacy notice, and the consent in Section 1 below also covers these answers.

1. Explicit Consent to the Processing of Special Categories of Personal Data

The following information, which you may optionally share when creating your Monogam profile, is considered “special category personal data” under Article 6 of the KVKK:

• Sexual orientation and gender preference (who you want to see)
• Religious belief
• Political views
• Health habits (alcohol and tobacco use)

The purpose of processing this data is to personalize your profile and offer you more suitable matches. This data is never shared with third-party advertising platforms under any circumstances.

Sharing this data is entirely optional. Even if you choose not to share it, you can continue to use Monogam’s core service. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at our contact email.

☐ I give my explicit consent to the processing of the special category personal data relating to my sexual orientation, religious belief, political views and health habits, which I have voluntarily chosen to fill in on my profile, for the purpose of being offered suitable matches.

This consent is optional. If you do not tick it, you can continue to use our core service.

2. Explicit Consent to the Processing of Location Data

Your explicit consent is requested for the processing of your approximate location in order to match you with users near you.

• Data processed: Your device’s approximate location
• Purpose of processing: Suggesting users who are geographically close to you
• Precise location: Never shared with other users
• Retention period: As long as the account is active; deleted within 30 days after account deletion

You can revoke location permission at any time from your device settings.

This consent is optional. If you do not tick it, city-based match suggestions will continue to be provided.

3. Explicit Consent to the Transfer of Data Abroad

Monogam works with the following third-party service providers based abroad for infrastructure and technical services:

Since our app’s main database and server infrastructure are located entirely abroad, hosting your data on these platforms is a technical necessity for us to provide our services. Apart from these transfers, your data is not shared with any foreign third party.

☐ I give my explicit consent to the transfer of my personal data to the service providers abroad listed above, in line with the app’s infrastructure requirements.

This consent is required for the core service to be provided. If you do not give consent, you may not be able to use the app.

4. Explicit Consent to Receiving Commercial Electronic Messages

Your explicit consent is requested for Monogam to send you commercial electronic messages for the following purposes:

• Campaigns and special offers
• Information about new features and updates
• Match suggestions and in-app activity notifications

Communication channels: Email and/or push notification. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us at our contact email.

This consent also covers consent to receive commercial electronic messages under Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce. Your consent will be reported to the Message Management System (İYS).

☐ I consent to Monogam sending me commercial electronic messages via email and/or push notification channels to inform me about campaigns, special offers and new features.

This consent is entirely optional. You will continue to be able to use our core service.

General Provisions

All or some of the above consents may be withdrawn. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the legal validity of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
